The Edwards Audio TT6 turntable, complete with dust cover, proudly features the new in-house designed and manufactured A6 captive unipivot tonearm and illuminated plinth.
The Edwards Audio TT6 turntable, built by the well-established and revered Edwards Audio, home of Talk Electronics. This is a British built, superbly engineered and stunning looking turntable available in three superbly finished colours. The TT range now comes with a striking Z-type perspex dust cover, colour co-ordinated to the deck. An example of such a dust cover can be seen in the last picture (Modelled on the lovely TT4 in grey!) We are very taken with this particular turntable here at Phonostage Audio and we will be keeping an Edwards Audio turntable here on demo!
This is excellent engineering at an excellent price!
The low mass tonearm is constructed from carbon fibre and is fitted with a 65-gram stainless counterweight. The output terminates to a pair of RCA sockets with separate ground, giving the user choice over their output cabling – these are located on the underside of the plinth.
The elegant 25mm Medite plinth is available in a satin black, red and white finish. Machined in-house the turntable boasts a 17mm acrylic platter and an aluminium hub which runs on a custom 18mm brass bearing housing with a 5mm white ceramic thrust bearing.
The turntable is controlled by a 24V AC synchronous motor which in this new series of Edwards Audio turntables has been positioned to further reduce electromagnetic and mechanical noise. This has required the development of a new bespoke ‘big belter’ drive belt. The result allows for greater resolution of low level detail.
Please Note:
This turntable does require some setting up when it arrives with you. You will need to use of stylus scales to set the weight accurately. These are inexpensive and widely available and we think everyone should have a set! (and of course this turntable does not have an incremental dial on the counterweight due to the low-centred design). We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by incorrect set-up or set up attempts, so please be careful and consult with us if you need any help... We love to help and we love talking about turntables!

However you may need to wait while your deck is made to order, in which case there could be a wait of two to three weeks.
